Rockin Sock Club, month one *SPOILER ALERT*

Guess what came in the mail today? My first month's Rockin Sock Club! WOO HOO!!

I was so good all week in not heading to places/blogs/chats of where there could be a spoiler. I really wanted to be surprised and boy was I! I think the great thing about this club is that you never know what you are going to get. This month's colors are clearly out of the box for me and I like it!!
The colorway is Dragon Dance and it is made out of 100% Superwash Merino - Lightweight, with 360 yards. The pattern made for it is Serendipity by Adrienne Fong.

Although before I can cast off I need to complete my other socks....so off to knit I go.

Another illness...

I'm really getting sick of being sick. I've been knocked off my feet since Friday. While I'm still not out of the woods yet, my hope is that I will be by this coming weekend.

One thing learned: when you start to feel yourself getting a bit under the weather, SLOW DOWN! I've realized that I don't do this, it actually takes me going down for the count to actually take some 'get well' time.

Maybe this is something I need to work on this year...besides finishing my second pair of socks!?

Stitch Markers - Winter Swap

I finished and mailed out my stitch markers to my swap partners today. Here is a sneak peak:
I made them up nice and light by using the acrylic crystals. All of my partners liked the same colors (blue/green) so, I made up 15 and used a grab-bag method of which ones each would receive.

I had a hard time mailing these, as there were quite a few that I really wanted to keep for myself!

I hope them enjoy them!

I'm in a knitting funk. I've turned my heels (YIPPEE!!), now I'm hung on the gusset pick up stitches. UGH! When am I going to be able just to knit from start to finish without pausing at each change?
