May, this is one month I'd really like to put behind me.
Shall I do a recap? How about in list format (remember my OCD)?
1. DH needing emergency eye surgery
2. DH needing 8 Dr. appointments within last 30 days
3. DH 4x day eye drops
4. DH still unemployed & now on state extension (can you say stressful?)
5. I took a really bad fall onto concrete
6. Couple weeks of knee pain with #5 occurring
7. Messing up wedding band from said spill
8. Seeing Aunt (first time in long time) realizing her cancer is worse than she lets on
9. DH's transmission light now staying on 100% of time, can't be a good thing with 120,000+ miles
10. Moi getting a new boss in 3 days (UGH!)
11. Half of my staff is moving to another building - what fun it will be running in between!
So, here it is almost June and guess what next week brings (besides a new boss)? A dentist appointment and DH back to eye surgeon (keep fingers crossed for GOOD news!)
How did I ever get to be SO lucky!
Needless to say I have been knitting, just to keep my sanity. I showed you last time that I finished my Montego Bay Shawl. I've worn it so many times I'm so glad I finished it. It is the perfect piece to wear at home when the temps dip a little.
I made my friend Joanne a smaller version of my shawl, as a scarf - a little closer to the pattern as it was intended. I can't wait to give it to her!CO: 29 stitches
Yarn: Handmaiden Sea Silk
Colorway: Ocean
Needles: Addi Turbo Lace Circulars US 6
I also started a Drop Stitch Scarf.CO: 26 stitches
Yarn: Handmaiden Sea Silk
Colorway: Renaissance

I've also been baking bread at a record pace! You see I located this recipe that you can make a 'ton' of dough, store it in the refrigerator, and only bake what you need at the time. So, here is the first dough rise:There is nothing like beating a bit of dough for stress relief!
Until next time...
