Summertime Tunic Progress

So, when we last left I was still working on my tunic. I had worked the 10 1/2 inches from waist up to the armholes.

Here is what it looked like on Saturday:
I went up 3 1/2 inches from the arm hole, knit 2 purl rows, then another inch. One side completed!

So needles to say I knew I could get the front side knit in a few more hours. A nice finish with the whipstitch. (another stitch I learned while doing this).So ... by Sunday afternoon this is what I had:A FINISHED GARMENT! My first. :-)

I'm not sure about the brown ribbon, however it was all I had. The DH thinks a dark blue, maybe navy would be better. Pattern: Summertime Tunic from Interweave Knits Summer 2007
Yarn: S. Charles Kyoto
Colorway: 10 Denim
Needles: US 4 & US 6 Addi Circulars
CO: 184 stitches
Mods: Waist was supposed to be 2" of K1P1, changed to 1 1/2 inches. Also, in main body I reduced to 10 1/2 inches.

LOVE IT!!

Progress on my garment

Well, I did some major knitting this weekend. Here are my results:Underneath the ribbing is 4 inches. The ribbing accounts for and 1 1/2 inches AND above the ribbing is 10 inches! WOOT! (sorry for the crappy photo, it has been either raining or overcast since June 4!)

I'm determined to actually wear this on July 4th.

....back to the needles...

A garment

A WHAT? I mean I am actually knitting a garment. Yes, something that I've had to swatch for, I've had to take measurements for and HOPING it will fit when it is completed.

I'm saving my week 3 photo until the end of this weekend...as I'm planning to get in some major knitting time this weekend.

Have you figured out just how many rabbits are around my house yet? Here is a hint, this is the 30th picture....still going.

I LOVE THESE....So, a huge thank you to the couple who picked these up for me at their warehouse club store. Unfortunately, my club store does not stock these (or fortunately depending on if you are my dentist and continued reading when I said not to).

I spent the weekend working from home. So, there really isn't much to share for knitting. I did take a break and take some stash photos. You could check them out at Ravelry.
